For information on how pasting data may affect cells' values, see How Spreading Data Works. The resulting data from a paste operation may not match the original copied data. When pasting data to time periods, Planning applies the spreading rules for each cell in succession, starting from left to right and top to bottom. When you copy within or among forms, Planning copies and pastes the cells' stored values, not the values that are displayed based on the precision setting. Planning does not paste data into read-only cells. For example, if you copy the contents of two rows, and select six rows to paste the data into, Planning copies the contents of the two rows three times, to fill the six destination rows. If the destination selected area is an exact multiple of the size and shape of the copied selected area, the data is repeatedly pasted into the destination area.
